Larimar is a beautiful blue Pectolite crystal; It is one of the rarest minerals found on planet earth and can only be found in the mountains of Bahoruco in the Dominican Republic.
Most Pectolite crystals are composed of sodium and calcium, giving them a white to grey colour. However larimar is a unique Pectolite crystal, as the calcium has been replaced by copper, and this gives larimar its characteristic volcanic blue colouration.
